Hot and humid, with blistering days and warm nights, the current weather is perfect for the thousands of tourists that have flocked here. The locals may or not be perturbed by the recent events, but there is little they can do about it. Resturant reservations have all been taken, and the bars and clubs are having to turn more and more people away by the hour. Things are hotting up, and with most people nearing their boiling point, the air around the City is becoming more and more tense and volatile.
"People disappear; one minute your here, the next...your not"
Talk is cheap. But it seems the best method of getting something popular these days is by word of mouth. And the latest thing on everyone's lips is Sunset City. Once a small fishing town, interest in the place sparked a few years ago, and since then the town has fledged into a fully grown city. Places are still in development, but for the most part, S.C has become the latest hotspot to get laid quick and get drunk quicker. And while all this is happening, not too many are noticing the darker side to the city. Guns and drugs change hands more easily than water slips through your fingers; blood is spilled like the preverbial milk, the only difference being that the're ain't that many around to cry over it. If you're at the top of the food chain, life is pretty sweet; with alcohol on tap and money growing on the trees, it's these people who are making all the profit from this sudden interest in S.C. For those at the bottom...you'd better have a tight grip, because when things start moving, there isn't gonna be much space to hold on...

announcements. If any new updates are made to the site that changes it in a way that is likely to affect the members, a thread will be made here for you to read.
chat. Any topics regarding matters all things OOC should be posted here. It is advised that you do all you can to limit the amount of spam posted in this board.
games. If - for some weird reason - you find yourself bored of RPing, and/or museless, then you can post any 'fun' games that you can think of for others to participate in. Who knows, you might even get your muse back in the process 8D.

graphics. Feel free to post any pictures you may have drawn, or any manips you have made (C&H related or not) here for other people to enjoy ^^. There is also a sub board included for those wishing to make a 'shop' where people can request pictures of their characters.
NOTE: Critique is allowed, but only if those posting ASK for it, and if you do crit, make sure it's constructive and well meant =3.
affiliate. & advertise. Info on afiliating with C & H, as well as a form that should be used when applying to afiliate is located within this board. This board also contains a seperate sub-board that can be used if you wish to simply advertise your forum. Please note that a forum that has applied for affiliation can ALSO set up an advert if they so wish.
creation. (3 sub-boards) Here you will find the form needed to create your character, along with guidelines and suggestions that should be used (or at least read) before making your character. Please note that if you're character or your bio doesn't meet the standards set, it will not be accepted.

logs. If you want to keep track of your character's current whereabouts, who they've met and their views on them, then here is where you can make a log for your character. It is not mandatory for a log to be made for each of your characters, but it does make it easier for others to find out a little bit more about your character.

plot. If you wish to plot with a specific character, you may find that they have a plot page here, in which you can post and request a certain plot idea. There is also a seperate board for 'ads' where you can advertise for a plot with your character.
connect. (4 sub-boards) Want to get in touch with another character? Well here are the boards dedicated to doing just that. There are seperate places for phone calls, text messages, email and AIM.
ads. Any IC related ads should go here. Be it for a roomate to share the rent or to simply get rid of some old possesions. Ads can be answered or replied to via the Phone calls or E-mail boards (depending on the contact infomation given), or via PMs - whichever you feel more comfortable with.
What Sunset City is known for, the Beach itself stretches a good few miles, it's surface varying from rocky and uneven to flawless white sands. During summer people flock to this place, making it almost impossible for the local residents to find a spot to lay their towels and relax. Despite this, there are the odd few who know of a few, secluded spots that tourists would never even dream of seeing.
With every city, there is a main street, and here, Sunset Street is just that street. This name is not actually what's on the sigh, but it's what everyone knows it at; including the locals. Originally filled with launderettes and small, local run businesses, as Sunset City has been slowly expanding, so has it's main street, which is now dominated by flashy bars and clubs, and expensive, tacky souvenir shops. Through this mass of glitz and exclusivity you may find the odd cafe or small resturant, still owned by people who have been here long before the rest, who have somehow managed to slip under the radar and forge a living, catering to those who prefer a 'cheap and cheerful' experience. Think if it what you may, but Sunset Street is quite honestly the centre of all that happens here. It's where the action happens, and the city's 'actors' take centre stage.
Through all the new, shiny places to visit, sit a few old familiars, and it are these that are known as the 'Public Facilities'; places that don't really do the new developments justice but help out the residents all the same. Talk flutters about the streets that many of these old, beautiful buildings will be torn down, replaced by better, updated versions of what they once were. Some are happy for this, others are not; it's your choice to decide where you're loyalties lie, but for now, these cracked and dull places stay, there to benefit the greater majority.
Quite clearly the most common form of housing here in S.C, the Sunnyside Housing Co. cater to almost every need - from holidaymakers renting an apartment for the week, or those looking for a more permenent place of residence. Sunnyside's apartments are widely not known for being the best place to stay in the world, but they are known for being a cheap place to stay - maybe this is why an apartment here is so hard to come by... One of the few areas that is been left untouched by the developers, Cherry Ripe is mainly inhabited by those who would be considered 'local' residents. Brightly painted wood adorned with ivy crawlers and slatted windows, Cherry Ripe is quite the joyful place, where one doesn't need a fancy dress or solitare studs to feel welcome. Soft, lilting music is often playing in some corner of the area, and street parties are common. Housing Available:[Yes][No]
Once a council estate, a gas leak meant that all the local residents were forced out of their homes. This was a year ago, and still they haven't been able to identify the source of the leak. Unable to demolish the remaining building, a higher authority decided that, for the time being, it should be left, and so, the houses here are left standing, empty and silent, while a name has been coined for this ghostly part of town; The Estate. However, this provides an excellent oppourtunity for those many living within the city that cannot afford a decent place to live, however saying that, four walls and a roof over your head doesn't guarantee safety; crime is rife in this part of town, and occasionally fires will break out for seemingly no reason. Your wits must be about you if you choose to live here, rent free. Housing Available:[Yes][No]
Mixing stunning, original architecture with contemporary fixtures and fittings, Sandbanks is the place to be if your young and rich. Most of these little studios were once owned by wealthy widows and swinging bachelors in the old days, but now most have been sold on, or inherited by children or grandchildren. Considering their lacking in size and smart interior, the average Sandbanks owner would be the up-and-coming young male or female living alone. Places here aren't cheap, so living here makes quite the statement. Housing Available:[Yes][No]
Named for the two men who founded this project, the Jackson-Becker Complex is housing at it's best - and therefore it's most expensive. With the creme de la creme of both well-known and upcoming businessmen in mind, this complex is made up of the finest - there is no other word for it - mansions money can buy. Five story, ten bedrooms, staff on hand, you know you've made it in S.C when you find yourself in one of these bad boys. Of course, these houses arent' just for any local riff-raff; no, most of the residents here make up the elite of club owners, chain resturant owners...heck, you may even find some of the more shadier business owners wheeling and dealing right on your doorstep. It's a place where everyone tries to keep their own personal matters secret, while at the same time doing all in their power to find out how much is in their neighbours bank balance.
